As noted when they posted the Summer Tour dates, there are no east coast dates for this fall tour. So if you are a west coaster you are pumped. If you are an east coaster, well, you aren't happy.
They are hitting up some never before played venues with Matthew Knight Arena in Oregon and the MGM Grand Arena in Vegas, which the band usually opts for the Thomas & Mack Center when going to Vegas. There's also a mix of arena and also outdoor venues, such as the Sleep Train Amphitheatre (formerly Coors Amphitheatre) in San Diego or the Santa Barbara Bowl, which they've only played as openers for Santana back in 1992. Much like in 2011 when the band played some indoor arenas for summer dates, they are switching it up and placing some outdoor shows in their fall tour. Heck, you are in Santa Barbara, why they heck not?
A return to fan favorite, Bill Graham Civic Center, should be a hot ticket and the return to LA's Forum since Valentines Day in 2003.

So what does this mean for the east coast? Well, it means the last shows on this coast until at least the holiday run will be Georgia show on 8/3. But if I had to put money down, I'd bet a holiday run is in the mist (Worcester, Philly, etc.). Then maybe a trip down to Miami for NYE. I'd also love to see the return of a Thanksgiving run.
